4 Free Indoor Prewedding Photoshoot Spots In Singapore To Prepare For Rainy Days

Our beautiful Singapore offers so many stunning backdrops for couples looking to capture their love story during their prewedding photoshoot. From historic landmarks to modern architectural marvels, Singapore has it all. However, we understand all our couples’ concerns, which is the unpredictable weather conditions that gets us so worried days leading up to the shoot. Hence, we always ask our couples to have back up indoor locations when planning for the shoot, so that you can have a good night’s rest the night before your shoot!

In this article, we'll explore the top four indoor pre-wedding photoshoot locations in Singapore that offer not only stunning backdrops but also great lighting and composition possibilities.

  1. National Gallery Singapore

The National Gallery Singapore is a must-visit location for art lovers and photographers alike. Housed in two beautifully restored national monuments - the former Supreme Court and City Hall buildings.  The grand halls and staircases of the buildings offer stunning backdrops for pre-wedding photographs, while the natural light that filters through the glass dome creates a magical atmosphere that is hard to replicate anywhere else. It’s one of our couples’ favourites and also ours because it houses endless possibilities since every corner makes a stunning photo spot!

2. National Museum of Singapore

Located in the heart of the city, the National Museum of Singapore is another popular location for pre-wedding photoshoots. The museum is the oldest in Singapore and has a rich history that is reflected in its impressive architecture. The neoclassical building features a grand rotunda and a central atrium, both of which make for great photo opportunities. The museum's galleries also offer unique and creative backdrops for couples looking for something a little different. What draws us to this location is how white it is, it makes for an extremely clean and classy backdrop for couples who want their prewedding photos to look more timeless and elegant!

3. Jewel Changi Airport

Jewel Changi Airport is one of the most impressive indoor spaces in Singapore, and it's not hard to see why. The jewel-shaped building features a stunning indoor waterfall and lush gardens. The natural light that floods the space creates a dreamy atmosphere that is perfect for pre-wedding photography. Couples can take advantage of the many different backdrops and lighting conditions to create unique and memorable photos. A word of caution though, our prized Jewel is such a popular tourist spot that it’s always crowded with people, so if you’re thinking of shooting there, we’d highly recommend doing it in the morning!

4. Carparks

Singapore's carparks might seem like an unlikely location for a pre-wedding photoshoot, but they can actually offer some of the most interesting and creative backdrops. Many of the older carparks feature unique geometric patterns and shapes that create a visually striking backdrop. The good thing about carparks is the natural light that filters through the concrete pillars and walls, which can also create a moody and atmospheric effect that is perfect for pre-wedding photography. It’s definitely not your typical photoshoot location but one that we would love to explore with couples who aren’t afraid to try something out of the ordinary!

These are only 4 of countless possibilities when it comes to shooting indoors in Singapore. Whether rain or shine, you can be rest assured that our Hey Stranger photographers will guide you through your prewedding planning the best we can and we will make the best out of your shoot no matter the location!
